The Mercedes-Benz eVito is a versatile electric vehicle that is offered in two distinct forms in the Australian market: a light commercial van for businesses and a spacious people-mover for passenger transport. Both models, while sharing the eVito name, are tailored for different purposes and have key differences in their specifications.

The eVito Van is designed as a workhorse for urban deliveries and trade services. It is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 85 kW and 360 Nm of torque. This is paired with a 60 kWh battery pack, which provides a WLTP driving range of up to 262 km. While its top speed is electronically limited, its range is more than sufficient for a full day of inner-city driving. For charging, it supports DC fast-charging up to 80 kW, allowing a 10-80% top-up in around 35 minutes.

On the other hand, the eVito Tourer is a premium people-mover with seating for up to eight people. It is a more powerful and passenger-focused vehicle. The Tourer is equipped with a significantly larger 90 kWh battery pack and a more potent electric motor that delivers 150 kW and 365 Nm of torque. This combination provides a WLTP driving range of up to 421 km, making it a viable option for longer trips, airport transfers, or as a luxurious family vehicle. The Tourer also has a higher DC fast-charging speed of up to 110 kW, which can charge the battery from 10-80% in approximately 45 minutes.

Both vehicles are front-wheel drive and benefit from Mercedes-Benz’s latest technology and safety features. This includes the MBUX infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance systems, and a 5-year/250,000 km vehicle warranty, with the battery covered for 8 years/160,000 km. While the van is all about practicality and efficiency for commercial use, the Tourer prioritizes space, comfort, and a longer range for carrying passengers.
