The Škoda Enyaq has been a long-awaited addition to the Australian market, having been available overseas since 2021. This ground-up electric vehicle is built on the Volkswagen Group’s dedicated MEB platform, which it shares with other popular EVs like the Volkswagen ID.4 and Cupra Born. For its Australian debut, Škoda is initially offering the Enyaq in its sleek coupé body style.

The launch lineup consists of two variants, catering to different performance preferences:

• The Enyaq Sportline is the entry point to the range. It features a rear-wheel-drive, single-motor setup that produces 210 kW of power and 545 Nm of torque. This is a significant power boost over early models released overseas. The Sportline is equipped with an 82 kWh (77 kWh usable) battery pack, giving it an impressive WLTP driving range of up to 561 km.
• The Enyaq RS is the high-performance hero of the lineup and the most powerful production Škoda to date. It comes with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system that delivers a combined 250 kW of power and 545 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a swift 5.4 seconds. The RS variant is also equipped with the same 82 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 530 km.

Both models come with a generous list of standard features, including a panoramic glass sunroof, a large 13-inch infotainment screen, and a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies. DC fast-charging is also supported at speeds of up to 175 kW, which can top up the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes.

Looking ahead, Škoda Australia has confirmed that a more conventional SUV body style will join the Enyaq range in the second half of 2025. This wagon variant is expected to offer an even more practical option for buyers, likely with a wider array of trim levels and potentially a more accessible price point.
