Leapmotor B10

Coming Soon

Leapmotor, the up-and-coming Chinese automaker, is set to expand its Australian lineup with the new B10, a compact electric SUV that is poised to be one of the most affordable electric SUVs on the market. With its larger sibling, the C10, already offering impressive value, the B10 will slot in below it, directly competing with popular models like the BYD Atto 3 and the forthcoming Kia EV3. The B10 is expected to arrive in the latter part of 2025.

The B10 is a modern, five-seat SUV that is built on the brand’s new LEAP 3.5 architecture. It is slightly larger than a BYD Atto 3, measuring 4,515 mm in length and 1,885 mm in width. It features a sleek, minimalist design that follows the brand’s “Gravity Field” design language, with a full-width light bar at the front and a stylish, connected taillight design at the rear.

While Australian specifications are still to be confirmed, overseas models give us a strong indication of what to expect. The B10 is available with two different battery packs: a 56.2 kWh LFP battery and a larger 67.1 kWh LFP battery. This will give it a WLTP driving range of up to 434 km, which is a very strong figure for its class. The B10 is also equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 160 kW of power and 240 Nm of torque, which allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a swift 6.8 seconds.

The B10’s interior is a major highlight, with a premium and tech-rich cabin. It features a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a panoramic sunroof, and a range of advanced safety and driver-assistance systems.

With a starting price expected to be close to or even under $40,000, the Leapmotor B10 has the potential to become one of the most compelling value propositions in the Australian electric vehicle market.
