The BMW iX1 is the smallest fully electric SUV from BMW, carving out a significant space in the premium compact electric market. Following a familiar and successful strategy, the iX1 is based on the same versatile platform (FAAR) as its internal combustion counterpart, the BMW X1, ensuring a blend of classic BMW design and modern electric performance.

In Australia, the iX1 is available in two distinct variants to suit different driving needs. The entry-level iX1 eDrive20 is a front-wheel drive model that delivers a balanced and efficient driving experience. It produces 150 kW and 250 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in a brisk 8.6 seconds. For those seeking more power and all-weather capability, the iX1 xDrive30 is the dual-motor, all-wheel drive variant.
