Deepal is set to further expand its Australian lineup in the second half of 2025 with the arrival of the S05, a new compact SUV. This vehicle will join the existing S07, giving the brand a strong presence in one of the most competitive segments of the Australian market.

The S05 will be available in two pure-electric variants, both equipped with a 68.8 kWh battery pack.

* The entry-level **rear-wheel-drive** model, priced from under $50,000 before on-road costs, is powered by a single motor that produces 175 kW and 320 Nm of torque. It’s expected to have a WLTP driving range of around 470 km, which is a very strong figure for its segment.
* A more powerful **all-wheel-drive** variant is also expected to be available, featuring a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 295 kW. This will provide a significant performance boost, with a 0-100 km/h time of around 5.5 seconds, while still offering a respectable range of over 420 km.

The S05 is a compact SUV with a spacious interior and a premium feel, featuring a large 15.4-inch central touchscreen that can tilt from side to side. It also includes an advanced driver-assistance system, a head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof. With its blend of competitive pricing, strong range, and high-tech features, the Deepal S05 is set to be a formidable new rival to established players like the BYD Atto 3 and the forthcoming Geely EX5 and Kia EV3.
