The MG Cyberster has made a bold statement in the Australian market, reviving the spirit of the classic roadster in an all-electric package. This two-seater convertible is a unique offering, filling a niche as the first fully electric convertible sports car in Australia since the original Tesla Roadster.

Deliveries of the Cyberster are now underway, and MG has recently expanded the Australian lineup to give buyers a choice between performance and range. Both variants are equipped with the same 77 kWh battery pack.

• The top-spec, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version, known as the Cyberster AWD, is the performance hero of the range. It boasts a combined power output of 375 kW and 725 Nm of torque. This immense power allows it to rocket from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 208 km/h. It offers a WLTP driving range of 443 km.
• Recognizing the demand for a more accessible option, MG has introduced a rear-wheel-drive variant. This single-motor model provides a more classic sports car feel and a longer driving range. It has a power output of 250 kW and 475 Nm of torque, which is still enough to deliver a very respectable 0-100 km/h time of 5.2 seconds. More importantly, its focus on efficiency gives it a significantly improved WLTP driving range of 507 km, making it a more practical choice for daily driving.

Both versions of the Cyberster come with a host of impressive features, including a triple-screen cockpit, a power-operated fabric roof that can be dropped in just 15 seconds, and striking scissor doors. With its head-turning design, exhilarating performance, and now a choice between two distinct driving experiences, the MG Cyberster is a compelling new contender in the Australian sports car market.
