MINI has expanded its all-electric lineup in Australia with the new Aceman, a stylish and practical five-door crossover that slots perfectly between the smaller Cooper and the larger Countryman. The Aceman is an electric-only model, built from the ground up on a dedicated EV platform, which is a significant move for the brand.
The Australian lineup for the Aceman offers three variants, each with a single-motor, front-wheel-drive configuration and a distinct trim level. However, MINI Australia has recently announced a strategic shift to focus on higher-spec models, which means the entry-level Aceman E will soon be discontinued. To clear the remaining stock, MINI is offering special nationwide drive-away prices, making it a great time for buyers to get into a new electric MINI at a reduced cost.
- The entry-level Aceman E is equipped with a 38.5 kWh battery, offering a WLTP driving range of 310 km. Its electric motor produces 135 kW and 290 Nm of torque, which is more than enough for city and suburban driving.
- Stepping up, the Aceman SE features a larger 49.2 kWh battery, boosting the WLTP range to 406 km. This model also gets a more powerful motor, delivering 160 kW and 330 Nm of torque, resulting in a quicker 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.1 seconds.
- At the top of the range is the high-performance JCW Aceman. This variant, tuned by John Cooper Works, is the most powerful with a 190 kW motor and 350 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a swift 6.7 seconds and has a WLTP range of 406 km from its 49.2 kWh battery.
All Aceman models come with MINI’s iconic circular OLED infotainment screen, a modern, minimalist interior, and a comprehensive suite of safety features. With its unique styling, go-kart-like handling, and a range of options, the MINI Aceman is a compelling choice in the premium compact electric crossover segment.
