XPeng is preparing to introduce its next flagship model to the Australian market: the X9 electric people mover. This innovative vehicle is set to follow the G9 SUV, with an expected launch in the third quarter of 2025. The X9 is a bold and luxurious offering, designed to compete with premium people movers like the Zeekr 009 and the LDV Mifa 9, but with a highly competitive starting price. XPeng Australia’s CEO, Jason Clarke, has indicated that the brand is aiming to position the X9 below the luxury car tax threshold, which would make it significantly cheaper than its key rivals.
